its probably a reverse sponsorship (like the sale was) and the Rebels siphon money out to the business

Indeed, it's something I think we can cultivate now in Perth with our more "mainstream-aimed" advertising campaigns.

I would say another $2 company, but clearly its a $100 company.

Sione Taufa proudly playing for Melbourne Rising: Sione Taufa has been a member of the Melbourne Rising since the National Rugby Championship’s inception in 2014. Taufa has made 11 NRC appearances for the Rising. The back rower won the 2017 BLK Dewar Shield with Harlequin.
I reckon he must be the grandson as the Sione on the ASIC register of directors was born in 1937........

If it is anything like this case they are screwed as they don't have the reserves of the Force or potential backers that Paris had (Thomas Savare and Qatar).

As for the last paragraph nothing has changed there.

Stade Francais facing bankruptcy claims Guazzini

Stade Francais face bankruptcy unless they find several million euros before they appear in front of the financial committee of the National Rugby League (LNR) next Monday claims their president Max Guazzini.

The French rugby giants financial woes appeared to be over when a virtually unheard of Canadian Foundation FACEM said they would invest €12million euros in the club.

    AD

Now Bernard Laporte and Guazzini are suing FACEM for fraud after the deal fell apart on Tuesday. A source close to the investigation told AFP that a Cameroon national had been arrested in Paris on Tuesday over his alleged involvement in the affair with another two people charged on Friday.

Stade have accumulated debts of €5million, mostly because of the failure of the advertising company Sportys, though Guazzini says ideally they need €6.6million to be solvent.

'If we don't find the money, then we are finished,' said Guazzini.

'We will be relegated to Federale 1,' commented Guazzini, who added that in such a scenario the club would be obliged to file for bankruptcy.

Guazzini, a qualified lawyer who advised senior Socialist politicians and then made his fortune from NRJ radio station, earlier told radio station France Info it didn't matter who came forward with the money as their situation was so desperate.

'Everyone can come to Stade Français,' said the 63-year-old. “Either to make a donation or to take majority control of the club. The situation today, is that it is a battle to save a magnificent club, a world rugby mark, a very popular club.

'Me, I will leave, I will give way to someone who really wants the job. There are people in this country who love sport and rugby and who have enough money to save the club.'

Guazzini said that there was some hope.

'There are negotiations going on, that is all I can say at this stage.”

Another headache is coach Michael Cheika is set to appear before an independent disciplinary committee on 19 July in Dublin over misconduct complaints arising out of his behaviour during and after Stade's Amlin Challenge Cup defeat to Harlequins in May.

I thought it was a Hurricanes game, I might be mistaken, and they are the top kiwi team and have been for the last few years so ofcourse all the kiwis would come out in Force, especially given the style of rugby they play. Once it was back to non kiwi teams vs the rebels we have 5000 and.probably 5000 again this week. Dire!

Fuck the ARU. This is our concept, this is our team and this is about WA. A full house will send a powerful enough message with a nice loud Force chant to top things off. We should make this as pro Force as we can to remind them dickheads what they threw away.

While I agree with the FUARU sentiment, I really don't give a shit what anyone at Moore Park thinks of the outcome of WSR. In fact I hope they go bankrupt so a new regime will have to be organised to rebuild and run the national game. I don't see any hope at all of the current lot doing that.

Looks like a near sellout on Friday but the proof of the support for a new way forward will be how the crowd figures hold up for the rest of the WSR matches. The Rugby supporters of WA need to make this work, not Twiggy, Minderoo or anybody else - US.

Nope I didnt. Have barely followed it. Fair enough then they should get 7k instead of 5k. About a quarter of what the Force is pullling tomorrow night
