Leo, with the same disclaimer as you, I think ra and Tim north's cronies (Tim appears to be in this up to his neck) the stadium will sell out at least once this season even if they have to pay homeless people to go.

Another thing that puzzles me is the apparent conflict of interest for one RA board member also being on the board of Infrastructure Victoria. It would have been terrible for IV if they'd lost a major tenant, but I'm sure that didn't influence her decision

Steve raised that a while ago and some people thought that there was no conflict of interest.

The RA were very specific in ensuring there were no conflicts of interests... that um ah would be in favour of WA...

I made a point on the Roar that the VRU in 2005 when submitting a bid up against WA, Gold Coast and Western Sydney (the latter two were wiped out early) that they had no home venue for their state team, club finals, no evidence of a set training facility and the Vic Gov't sat on their hands in terms of having a stadium built with a contingency plan while it was being completed. Olympic Park would have been a money pit like it was for the Storm with limited corporate facilities.

the Rebels actually used Ikon Park in Carlton for a few years and only moved to AAMI at the end of 2015 in a deal arranged by the previous CEO (Leahy)

WTF? How can that happen? I haven't checked the playing list, but the roar write up says it all. It can't be that bad in Rebel land surely, the players, the coach, the culture ? Where did it all go so wrong?

Close to their strongest side without a couple of injuries and Parling. On Green and Gold poster said they were too narrow no lacked cohesion.

    Coleman came off injured.

Pet poodle Iain Payton had to chime in with this Tweet

'Plenty of niggle between the Waratahs and Rebel Force. No surprise probably given the WA-NSW games were always tasty.'

Brumbies were down 33-7 and lost 38-26 with the distinctively average Brad Weber scoring a hat trick. Showed there is fight when down even in a trial. Kyle Godwin had a good game and showed off his side step.

That's a right rodgering, sad to say. But if you put yourself in the players' shoes (maybe the coach's too), it's not hard to imagine an unhappy camp. Underlying all the things that make a successful team are the intangible components that bring the bond between the players' and coaches. To have tasted that last year and be looking forward to more improvement this year and to have had that thrown on the trash heap by Rats Arse and their Melbourne co-conspirators was devastating. In the end everybody plays Rugby for that espit de corps and you can't easily reset it in these circumstances.

I watched the streaming through clenched teeth in the first half and a wry smile in the second.
Really don't like the Tahs but sorry to say, despite the WF players being there, absolutely detest the Rabble.
And rest assured I shall not be watching either when it comes to SR, or any sides for that matter.

Apparently the final final Rebels squad will be announced at their season 'launch.'

Don't know if de Clyne and his henchmen will be there.

Been out of the country for almost a month but it seems that since his ludicrous performance at the senate and the revelations of the probable existence of evidence againts him and his mates by Nick Taylor and Wayne Smith, he's become conspicuously inconspicuous.

I know that they would really want to go out to win, but I don’t really believe that their hearts are going to truly be in it! Adding in the fact that they are now missing Hodgo, the main man & inspiration ro everything that was the Force, apart from Sharpie of course! That’s how I’m gonna live with it.
