Linda Reynolds is now the Minister of Defence in the new Morrison cabinet. Nice to have Western Force friends in high places.

Well done Linda. You deserve it.

Mr Mitchell should engage Mr North to help him with his defence. Mr Clyne could maybe lend a hand too (when he’s finished swanning around Japan).

Was this before or after Mitchell sold the Rebels for a dollar? Interesting that they are hearing this case but not the RA and Rebels dealings involving the sale to Andrew Cox over Alan Whinney’s offer which included a restructure of the $30 million owing to the RA and the awarding of test matches without going to tender. Given that the SA Government was successfully awarded a State of Origin game next year I am sure they would be interested in the RA offering tests to Melbourne without a bid process.

Totally agree Bakkies. I think the ASIC decision not to take any action in our case stank. To my mind, what the Senate Inquiry unearthed was far, far worse than someone not following due process in awarding TV rights.

But unconnected mere mortals like me will always be swotted away like an annoying bush fly by the likes of this mob.

Bakkies and Alison, it might be a good time to ask some politicans why ASIC took action against tennis, but not the RA

A FoI inquiry to ASIC might reveal that too.

I thought they were gonna shut ASIC down after the Royal Commision because they are a toothless tiger.

Seems like ASIC have plenty of easy targets to bother.

That will take about six years. Apparently ASIC are still going in to the thousand pages or so of evidence in regards to the ACT Town Council’s involvement in the Brumbies ‘land’ deal. The Sydney papers and a former CEO targeted previous board members at the Brumbies but the real ire and sweeping under the carpet has to be the Town Council and their grubby mits on it. They are good at making things go away. All land in the ACT is Crown Land whether it is leasehold or belonging to the National Capital Authority (NCA) which is a Federal authority. It is prime land which the Brumbies couldn’t do much with to get further development and the Town Council rather assist their developer mates in approving multi million dollar apartment blocks. The Bowls club is gone.

Uncle Cam donated $2,500 to the Queensland branch of the ALP in 2015-16. Clayton Utz also tipped in money. Who obfuscated for uncle Cam during the Inquiry, Senator for Queensland Murray Watt. The ALP also wrote nonsense in their response to the findings.
