    Yes but it wasn't a flash game from a captaincy point of view either. If one of your strike bowlers or others are getting belted all over the shop it's time to change things up to stem the flow. Cartwright and Voges have both bowled overs this year and were never used last night. Pretty ordinary reading of the situation me thinks!

    Have to say I'm not a fan of expanding the game played to a 14 match schedule. I was getting BBL fatigue towards the end of the tournament this year.

    Takes a long time for some lessons to be learned. BBL has found it's niche. But it's a limited one I reckon. CA has already devalued ODI's to some extent by flooding the calendar.

    The AFL and NRL both take a more cautious strategy these days. after the Swans & Bears/Gold Coast (multiple times) in NRL. With their latest respective expansion teams still struggling for traction.

    SANZAR, OTOH.......less said the better

    I agree Jargs. The season needs to be condensed into the school holiday break, I don't think they should make it any longer. I hope they don't kill the goose thats laid the golden egg!
