Shows how much I've switched off. I 100% thought this was the bye weekend.

The line in the toilets and beer stalls must have been down to parliment house as there was so many empty seats in the ends and corners

Watched the Blacks game then Fox switched to Canberra, John Eales came on the screen - hit the off button.

The 22,000 I said was for the women's soccer at Penrith, not the Wallabies game. Sorry for any confusion.

    Are you 100% sure?

OK, that wasn't the picture I was trying to link to. Have a look at pictures 1 & 2 in this gallery http://www.smh.com.au/photogallery/s...16-gyiyjn.html I know they aren't full width shots, but there are definitely gaps.

    Melbourne - 13 500
    Canberra - 14 200
    Perth - 18 000
    Qld - 30 000
    Sydney -55 000

Thats the test crowds for the year. Funnily enough it also mirrors the Super Rugby crowds by state. It just reinforces what we already know, a franchise in Melbourne is a waste of time, money and effort as is a test match in Melbourne.

I note the GWS crowd of 14 600 last night. I note this crowd for one simple purpose. The AFL is making the same mistake as the ARU. The AFL and ARU are blowing millions of dollars trying to make inroads into each others heartland territories. Both are failing spectacularly. The difference being, the AFL has enough money to keep throwing at it, the ARU never had the money to even start it up and are rightfully going broke trying to justify their idiocy.

You have to admit Sydney and Brisbane have been pretty successful for them, though - Note to NRL relocated teams seem to succeed better than new ones with no history or supporter bases.

PS: While we're comparing crowd numbers; the NRL had an unexpected win over the AFL this weekend. More people attending their 2 elimination finals than AFL.
