I think comments like Coleman's pre-game are just as bad. How many times have we beaten the All Blacks in the last decade? I know the media want's comments from players so they can write their articles but no Wallaby should be talking it up pre-game as far as I'm concerned It happens every year, we see articles quoting players about how the All Blacks are beatable, or how the Wallabies are going to surprise the All Blacks, yadda yadda yadda. The Wallabies would struggle against a tier 2 nation!

I agree with the article you've posted as well, I can't believe one of the commentators said that but I was hammered so missed it. I guess again they need to put a positive spin on it but fark me, we scored our first try when it was 54-6. Shame we didn't get a complete 80 minutes from the Kiwis otherwise we would probably be talking about a 80-12 result! I'm sure we remember 10 years ago when the Bledisloe Cup was an "event" ticket, the Wallabies were the National sporting team in Winter but the way they're tracking now they'd be lucky to have anyone give two shits about them in a few years.

I don't recall if it was on here or elsewhere where I read bout the "defensive system" failing. What "system? Get off your fucking defensive line and tackle you overpaid sacks of crap.

I wasn't hammered but apart from half time in the Mungo's I chose not to watch a Wallaby Test for the first time since I can remember. But I'd still like to know which genius said that
I do remember when it was a BIG event. We made a last minute call to Attend Eales' last match at ANZ after he announced his retirement. Paid overseas for tix and fares as then capacity 110,000 was sold out. Sat right behind the goals when Kefu dotted down between them for the match winner and broke about 40,000 Kiwi hearts. Can hardly describe how good it was.
Now I can hardly say how sad the current state of things makes me feel. Not taking one little bit of joy in this nor will I death ride the team. It's squarely in the corner of the old boys network.

Had I been at home and not at a drinks night at one of the boys from Rugby I probably wouldn't have even watched.

I'm in Singapore this weekend and in the past I would have been frantically looking for somewhere to watch the Test this weekend but I really cbf at the moment.

I'll look into my crystal ball for you Jargs

There is a dry, fast track......

The ABs have experimented with combinations a little, but it hasn't hurt them at all......

Things are starting to get clearer......

The Wallabies suck balls for at least 40 minutes of the game.

    Kerevi isn't playing

    Moore is on the bench

Beale at 12 as effective as ever

Foley man of the match after actually doing something positive

Wobs go down by plenty but learn a lot, their errors are simply not trusting the system, not enough intensity and they're too unfit, having only played two games of rugby in the last two months. AllBlacks captain Reid sees fit to praise the training match that they organised between the SR final and the first test, saying it was their only true hit-out before meeting the Saffers.

ARU praise the ability of the Wallabies to stand up under immense pressure

Cheika takes a press conference to declare his "unwavering" support of Nathan Grey as defense coach.

We stuck around to the bitter end - in spite of it being such a piss poor performance by the Wallabies.

Also positive comments about the Western Force as we left and on the train back to Central - apologies for the behaviour of the ARU, commiserations on what is happening to the Western Force, comments on the unfairness of it all. No negative comments. One bloke on the train gave me his card (he's a Sydney based solicitor who specialises in tort) and said simply "sue the bastards".

One old bloke with a handle-bar mustache had the best comment about the culling of the Western Force. As we were talking with him about the effects of the ARU's attempted culling on Rugby in WA, he poked his walking stick into the floor and said "bad show, bad show".

Sorry, but I watched the game.
Here's what I want to know, having discussed with one of my colleagues today:
Did Cheika watch any of the British & Irish Lions v ABs games? The ABs could only score 5 tries (AFAIR) in 3 games. Maybe the game plan the BILs had was quite good and worthy of consideration for adoption by Cheika?

On pre-match comments, I think it should be more the case that they should just have a blackout on player interviews because of course any of them are going to say they CAN be beaten.
Jeezsus, imagine the uproar here and elsewhere if any player said, "Yeah, you know what, you probably are right. We are underprepared for the date rape that we are about to be subjected to, we are probably a season of the pace, but we'll give a crack...".
To give a double negative, the AB's are not unbeatable, the Lions have shown that, as have the Irish, so I think it is pretty fair that IF interviewed then a player is going to say that their team has a shot.

There is no way Cheika could dream of implementing that game plan, It involved brutal, rush defense that shut down the quick ball. Cheika would need to replace 80% of his squad and his entire defensive coaching team. The players to replace them are all overseas, having gotten sick to death of being overlooked for a national jersey in favour of magic beans and speedbumps.

I think all the players should be given cue cards saying "of course we think the All Blacks are beatable, but we're not sure how to do it, or Wether it's even possible with our current team." Then go out and actually attempt to play better than the Crap they've been dishing up for 5 years

Kurtley said they are chock full of confidence, a Band of Brothers. I believe him.
