Watching Tim Gossage on Channel 10 and even he gave a disappointed sigh at the end of the report on the Force.

In other news 2 cartons doesn't seem enough for tonight!

Premier McGowan on 6pr looking in to see if there were undertakings or contracts drawn up by previous governments in relation to the volume of money spent on NIB upgrade, therefore guaranteeing the team is retained

WA's Geoff Stooke has resigned as ARU director with immediate effect. Says ARU argument that game can't sustain 5 teams is "horseshit".

They probably want to close the page down as soon as they can.

Poor Hodgo on channel 7 seems truly devastated - I'm sure the whole team feels the same, let alone all the behind the scenes staff.

Would this warrant industrial action ie. the players going on strike and really making the ARU look like laughing stock? The statement issued by RUPA certainly suggests the players union is not going to stand for this either.

There's a clause in their CBA that prevents this. They could still do it I suppose but there'd be serious problems as a result

Nothing has changed from the above with the decision being announced tomorrow, I'll then post my reasoning as to why I'm so confident of a victory.
Westie man I have been waiting for your press conference but need to go out
Could you please shed some light on your statement and where the legal team went wrong

Isn't that the point of a strike though? To cause as much problems as possible to get a solution. Legal strikes are a ridiculous concept anyway.

Just watched press conferences by Sinders and Andrew Forrest - they still seem very determined to fight this out, it ain't over yet (although it feels bloody bad).

Absolutely gobsmacking that the FUARU can still claim it was a financial decision when the Force has cost far less than the alternative AND Andrew Forrest has guaranteed the ARU that they would suffer no loss in keeping the Force, effectively underwriting the Force financially. The temerity of the FUARU to continue their untruths is astounding.

Gotta remember, the Force is run by RWA ppl, there isn't any ARU ppl in control or in operations. If I was there, and was told to start closing things down and by the way you don't have a job, I don't think I'd be closing things down....

We were told all along that the Force may need plan B, so we're just in for a longer fight than we thought. I'm hoping the players (& staff) will still be able to hang in there! Seems to me that the "financials" argument is just an excuse, it doesn't matter what the Force answered in criteria, the ARU were coming up with 'another' excuse. Clyne' comment that Twiggy came in too late was just plain ludicrous, what f##n difference does that make to having money for ongoing costs? He even guaranteed paying the Force costs for F#cks sake! Clyne is just bleating whatever excuse he can think of, so it seems to me that there's another deeper reason they're hiding. The ARU have got themselves in the shit somehow & desperate to kill the Force. What does it take to get the Crime& Commission in to look at thiose ARU books? Feel there may be a few dodgy Swiss bank accounts lying around! Supreme Court will be a perfect chance to get it out in the open, & maybe Geoff Stookes is able to unload a few untruths?

Geoff was made to recuse himself from the Board discussions Val so I'm not sure he will know where all the bodies are buried. Hopefully he's got enough dirt to open a corruption inquiry though!!
