That's a whole bunch of talent with question marks so I wouldn't be counting too many chickens just yet.
At the twf awards night Dickie Hardwick advised that he would be playing the 1st NRC game (on 3 Sep) and then having some surgery (not a recon) on his L shoulder.

It is a good looking team- but I am a bit cross we are playing Brache and Grant- we can win without them and they take the place of developing players.

I also don't like Tet Faulkner being there. No offence to the guy, but if he is going to the Rebels then we should play someone who is staying.

I like the lineup. With all the experience on the team it's interesting seeing Ruru as Captain and Rangi as VC

Noticed that, for all Papworth's whinging about the NRC, Eastwood has quietly taken over the Rams, relocated the team to Milner Oval, pissed away all the good work last year in engaging Western Sydney and marginalised them yet again...anyone care to guess at where that's all heading?

Which Grant are you talking because who the hell is Ben Grant, never heard of him, where is he from and what's his background.

Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.

Agree usually no point playing Tet, Grant (P), Marcel. But maybe it's to keep them employed in the interim?

    What's happened to Shambeckler?

    I was talking Peter Grant.

Ben Grant is a young fellow from over east. Played for our U20 side. 18 or 19 (eligible for U20s next year). Tall and lanky athletic style lock.

This year, I want them to play whatever XV (or 23, take your pick) that wins the comp.
Western Australia needs to make a very loud statement on the national scene and as nice as the whole balance between high performance and development is normally, at this stage we have nothing to develop for, so best we just tear the bastards apart and burn the house down!

Just shows that Pappy ain't the man for the ARU job. Does the same thing that other ARU/NSWRU/SRU guys have done, when given the opportunity to engage Western Sydney, they neglect it.

Within reason, sure. But If we are putting 50 points on most teams- that isn't fun for anyone. We should be giving our players the best chance to show their wares in case the appeal doesn't go our way so that they have something to show to prospective new teams. That includes local fringe players.

This is assuming that Twiggy gives up and doesn't follow the idea of a breakaway comp.
