    Alan Jones Smashes Clyne

Clyne failed to mentioned the $20 odd mil the ARU have spent on the Rebels, and that it was the board that brought them in when there was no money.

    Wow
I'm not normally a great fan of Jones but that was brilliant. Absolutely slaughtered him

What a lot of BS , Jones as usual like a coward went missing when it come to the Sydney Clubs and could avoided a lot of heartache if he told the truth

The Sydney clubs got their money from the ARU via the NSWRU under Bruce Worboys to PAY channel 7

Also , seemed to fortget that the "Sydney Clubs don't want a bar of NSW Rugby , not that he let Clyne talk

And of course "He ran out of time" Disgraceful

Oh and seemed to forget to interview John ONeil ( The man who signed the Super 18 deal) in the years from 2009 till Pulver turned up

But Jones had lost a case to JON and couldn't bother to let bygones be bygones for the game

Typical Jones interview. slanted and he has a mission. He's not an objective journalist & is just trying to get himself onto the board i reckon. so this interview doesn't carry any weight IMO.

Never really cared for Alan Jones but that was a great interview. $770 million wasted by the ARU since 2003 is outrageous considering the predicament rugby is in.

Like him or hate him, the pertinent part of the interview was that he got Clyne to agree that we had an agreement in place to be retained, which appears to be the crux of our legal action

yeah i'll take that. but i think he has an agenda - i dont trust Alan Jones at all.

He did smash him on the fact that the ARU didn't have the ability to remove a team in 2015. but they advocated the expansion to the 18 team format, knowing that it would further damage Australian Rugby.

also - i think he is very right to call for them to resign. But not if he is thinking that will give him a chance to get on the board.

Also pressed him about going into SANZAAR meetings with the intention of cutting a team whilst at the same time demanding our licence as collateral (which has not been the case for the other $28 mill) and assuring Rugby WA we were OK until 2020. Go to court and try to argue "changed circumstances" on that you duplicitous bastards. Resign now!

I'm finding it tough to accept John Eales (in particular), Brett Robinson and Paul McLean were party to this deception all along.
Clyne?....well he ran one of the big four banks

Why not exercise the power of veto...why increase from 15 to 18..logical questions clyne didn't answer.

clyne says decision to chop team not made in meeting in london by ARU..bald faced lie.

It was typical jones and he did savage Clyne...Have no sympathy for him.

maybe someone should send 2gb the breakdown on the monies spent on each franchise..so next time clyne comes in he can be hauled over the coals over that...

    Yeah good point as well.

Maybe i need to try and disassociate the words from the fact that it's Alan Jones saying them!
