3 Year Ban For Tackle on Referee

You'd wanna hope this was accidental. Unfortunately the clip is pretty damming. ban well deserved.

edit* - saw another angle. f**kin grub. no way it was accidental. that and she's wearing bright yellow ffs! ban absolutely deserved. Wouldn't have even cared if there was a life ban

Lengthy ban for tackle on referee

    Date published: December 15 2016

The Argentinian rugby player Bruno Doglioli has been banned for three years for his vicious tackle on a female referee during an Italian club game.

Doglioli was suspended by his Italian club Vicenza after only receiving a yellow card for a no-arms tackle on Maria Beatrice Benvenuti. Benvenuti was taken to hospital after suffering whiplash.

Vicenza were playing against Italian Serie A side Valsugana last week.

Doglioli has now been banned by the Italian Rugby Federation, who punishment is the longest ban imposed in Italian rugby in the last 20 years. The IRF condemned the act of violence against Benvenuti and said Doglioli not only breached the rules of rugby but also contradiced the values of sport.

Just as well he didn't have a black jumper on or would only have been a penalty to the ref

It should be a lifetime ban, what a poor excuse of a human being!

Apart from wondering why someone would do that, I'm curious about what the other player who falls on top of him and the ref is doing as it doesn't look accidental either.

Really? I thought it looks like the guy's tracking across watching the balls, then falls over two people lying on the deck he really didn't expect to be there..

Yeppo have to agree, on third viewing he did fall over!
Must have been the pessimism from onsite work, flight delays and that fact it was in italy that made me see the worst in people.
