How the Super Rugby teams are shaping up for 2017

    http://www.foxsports.com.au/rugby/su...74cf826915cb63

A guide to all clubs ^^^.

    FORCE

INS: Ben Daley (Reds), Tatafu Polota-Nau (Waratahs), Richie Arnold (development squad), Ben Matwijow (Reds), Isi Naisarani (Brisbane City), Michael Ruru (Perth Spirit), Bill Meakes (Gloucester), Chance Peni (Wests Tigers), Robbie Coleman (Brumbies), Curtis Rona (Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs)

OUTS: Chris Heiberg (Southern Kings), Ollie Hoskins (London Irish), Guy Millar (Highlanders), Nathan Charles (Clermont), Steve Mafi (Castres), Rory Walton (Carcassonne), Chris Alcock (Brumbies), Alby Mathewson (Canterbury), Kyle Godwin (Brumbies), Ben Tapuai (Bath), Junior Rasolea (Edinburgh)

2017 SQUAD: Jermaine Ainsley, Pek Cowan, Ben Daley, Tetera Faulkner, Francois van Wyk, Tatafu Polota-Nau, Anaru Rangi, Richie Arnold, Adam Coleman, Ben Matwijow, Matt Philip, Angus Cottrell, Richard Hardwick, Ross Haylett-Petty, Matt Hodgson, Brynard Stander, Ben McCalman, Isi Naisarani, Ryan Louwrens, Ian Prior, Michael Ruru, Peter Grant, Jono Lance, Luke Burton, Bill Meakes, Chance Peni, Marcel Brache, Robbie Coleman, Semisi Masirewa, Luke Morahan, Curtis Rona, Dane Haylett-Petty

BEST XV: Dane Haylett-Petty, Luke Morahan, Bill Meakes, Robbie Coleman, Curtis Rona, Jono Lance, Ian Prior, Ben McCalman, Matt Hodgson, Angus Cottrell, Adam Coleman, Ben Matwijow, Pek Cowan, Tatafu Polota-Nau, Ben Daley

VERDICT: The surprise signing of Tatafu Polota-Nau — on the back of Perth Spirit’s National Rugby Championship victory — has lifted spirits out west.

The Force’s future is cloudy at best beyond 2017 but they at least look like they’ll be competitive under rookie coach Dave Wessels.

Rising Wallabies Dane Haylett-Petty and Adam Coleman must stay fit, however.

    ODDS (UBet): $201

No reason why we can't be the Leicester City of the Aus Conference this year. All it needs is strong self-belief, resilience and a tight team culture. All for one and one for all, as the saying goes!

Talking of Richard Graham, it seems he's got a gig as backs coach for the Georgia national team for their upcoming test matches.....

I like your optimism, but unless we get a massive injection of cash in the next 12 months the WF franchise is doomed. We can't recruit guys who peaked 10 years earlier or guys who are performing well in club rugby and think we're going to do well in the Super comp. The Crusaders had 18 All Blacks in their 23 match day squad for their last super game, how many internationals did we have? We recruit a single Wallaby player and the state gets excited thinking we now have a chance. We need 10 more players of this calibre. We need to stop thinking we can be the next Leicester City and start being realistic.

I agree, there is nothing to get too excited about.

    Talk about grasping at straws.

Reminds of the mob in Life of Brian who convinced themselves that Brian was the Messiah and wouldn't be told otherwise.

Your ignorance of all things rugby never ceases to amaze me.

By march you lot will be feeling like the Clinton supporters are today. Trumpy - what a legend.

We've had some ignorant bastards here over the yeats. You're right up there.

Most of us know exactly what a Rugby club based in WA is up against. F@ckheads who just come on here to deathride them no matter what are of no use to anybody. And probably about as much use to Rugby in the real world.
