Tatafu Polota -Nau signs with Force

    http://www.rugby.com.au/news/2016/11...-western-force

Tatafu Polota-Nau has ditched plans to go overseas, signing a one-year deal with the Western Force for 2017.

The 68-Test hooker is currently recovering from a broken arm, after undergoing surgery in recent weeks, an injury that curtailed his opportunities abroad.

While the injury re-routed his future, Polota-Nau said he was looking forward to the new opportunity.

That is definitely a very good signing which will make us more competitive in the front row.

Western Force sign Wallabies hooker Polota-Nau
Nick Taylor - The West Australian

Western Force have pulled off a major coup, signing 68-Test Wallaby hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau for the 2017 Super Rugby season.
The move has excited Force coach Dave Wessels and “delighted” Wallabies coach Michael Cheika, who was keen to keep the bullocking runner and kamikaze tackler in Australia.
Polota-Nau left the Waratahs after 11 seasons and was heading overseas to Bristol, but the move faltered when he needed surgery after breaking his right forearm twice this season.
Discussions had been taking place for several weeks but had been kept under wraps by the Force.

I like what he has to say about club rugby and Dave Wessels

Cannot stand TPN. Does he still have "it"? I'm not so sure.

    Hope too that Heath stays.

Bristol have had a shite season so far and could be out of the Premiership next season - may be why TPN pulled the pin?

Agreed that he needs to be fit to make an impact, has he really been injured that much? He has played/part played 68 Tests and 141 Super Rugby games in 11 years!

Good signing. We have a couple of young hookers who will be well mentored. If he stays injury free our scrum, which is improved anyway could become a weapon.

Could do with a good midfield signing too.

Yeah I think that many here don't like him as he was a Tahs player, I have always loved his physicality which ultimately has cost him a lot of injuries as he took a while to realise that you cant go that hard at every single contact.

And as I post that I then go find quotes that he signed on to help keep the force alive.
That's a pretty good reason to start getting on board
