He's the best scrummaging hooker in Australia, and one of the best in the world.

What a pack we have next year!!!

For those concerned about Tessmann going...
He tweeted the following about tatafu signing
"I always thought you look better in a darker shade of blue @tatafu267
Looking fwd to you getting here & getting to work together #WestIsBest"

Pretty sure he is here to stay

    So I'm a little confused.
Are we now fully contracted? and hence have we really passed up TWO Marquee spots?

I "think" we can have up to 35 now and 32 are confirmed.

Last year we had 31 in main squad and 6 Extended Playing Squad

Two Marquee spots are not that important as your using one on Peter Grant. It is hard to get value in the Marquee unless it is someone playing in Japan and you have to worry about burnout and fatigue with B2B seasons

Historical failures or successes can't be a valid point to say that a player is warrants a marquee spot, only his ability and motives for a move in a position that we are not too strong (Prop, Lock or Centre) should be considered.

I think the alliance with the ARU will want to see more Australian fringe talent sent our way rather spending on marquees.

With Gus out with a long term injury, we could get someone in there. I've of a clause there.

Jacques Potgieter was good for the Tahs, albeit a bit past it now and I think signed with the bulls, but someone similar to him or Shalk Burger who could come in for 1 year and smash some bodies.

out of context, my point was that we are more likely to get better results by recruiting locally. Most of our Marquees have been fringe players that have shown promise at some stage or players that are looking for the quick buck in their twilight playing years.
