    Foxtel

I have full Foxtel and was paying $135 per month for it. I had recently heard of customers calling Foxtel (out of contract) to remove channels and apparently they will try and keep you on and offer a discount.

I just made the call, everything staying the same and I now will pay $109 per month, just by making a call. The savings will just about cover my 2017 Force Membership.

If you don't ask, you don't get

Thanks for the info. I guess that you have Foxtel straight from them and not through Telstra which is my case

I thought so. It will be a bit harder via Telstra but will give it a go

They have a complaints dept for members, just ask and you will be pleasantly surprised. The discount lasts for 12 months in some cases.

Managed to get $ 25 off per month for 3 months. Will have to call back to try and get a permanent discount. That is through Telstra.

I have Foxtel via T-Box with Telstra.

all of my Foxtel comes via NBN (Did I mention I have full speed NBN 100/40) which is the standard Channels plus Sports.

Anyhooo I found out that Foxtel via T-Box cant get the new BEN Sports or the new English Premier League Channels.

So I called Telstra complaints department and after a gentle talk. I received a $240 credit on my bill, based on $10 per month for 2 years.

I had the Poos one day and rung Telstra ( My fox account is with Telstra) and asked why is it new customers can get reduced access costs as we pay Top dollar for full package.. We had an old HQ box and 2 other old non HQ boxes and none HD.. The gentleman on the fone said I can fix that and we now have 3 HD HQ boxes all installed free ... He made a credit to our account there and then of $375 to cover the installs as we live in the country .. He also did not discount it but said he would leave our payments of $155/ month the same instead of $175/ month.. Small win but got something.

Don't want to hijack the thread but you're one of the success stories of Turnbull's outdated NBN model. Which one of these are you?

Good stuff! May give it a try too as we're most definitly "cord cutters" in our house with Foxtel only used for sports and news. Otherwise we're exclusively Netflix or couchtuner if shows not listed on the Australian Netflix catalogue.
