Not a bad finish, wasn't overly frustrated they gave it a crack.
I wonder how good Hardwick would be now if they had have invested more game time in him than stander over the past couple of years. Same could be said for brache vs Lacey and others.
I think the local WA boys are showing more promise than most of the saffa club rugby players we recruited ever have

Was the last home win by the Force the match against the Tahs on 9 May 2015?

How'd you go with the "West Coast Sea Eagles" suggestion in the Mungo thread then?

I've certainly seen worse performances than that!
Ok season over. Let's hope we can rebuild, yet again, and next years going to be the year! Or it will be the start of the rebuild which will take a couple of years .........
Let's hope they can get it right now they've had enough practice!

I thought the locals plus a couple of other young blokes didn't look out of place. Finishing scrum was impressive. Very dissappointing to see Godwin go - if he does. I reckon he could really show his stuff with Jono Lance directing traffic.

Rugby.com.au stated it was confirmed at the press conference last night.

Godwin would be one that's good to keep because of his background in WA, but I can't say our midfield has been anything to get excited about this year.

I'm sure a good backs coach could make a difference, but something has to change.

Personally, after seeing the last three games, I'd move on a number of the high profile names and retain the young WA boys. That way, we keep the future in WA with boys that have shown potential and ability (scoble, hardback, rangi, koteka, louwrens) and manage the short term needs by getting a team of quality blokes who are on the fringe at other franchises (jono lances, not useless mungbeans who are there because daddy knows someone)

Was not disappointed with how well they turned up. The Brumbies are claiming that they were happy to keep the Force try less, but seem to have forgotten their own pretty average underwhelming performance. To be half try less themselves in the second half by a bunch of predominantly rookie players only recently from clubland speaks spades, especially without our own top players. Well done guys for going out and having a go. Was a lot there I would like to have seen being done through the season.

As others have said; that was a fairly positive second half, despite the obvious issues with getting it over the try line.

Some enterprising play by the young up and comers gives me a good feeling about next year. Not to mention the resolution they showed in defence. They seemed to be playing for each other, which is not something you can say all the time unfortunately.

Now let's get the right coach signed up who can use these guus to their obvious potential.

    Comments:

    1. Same as last week with both Millar & Alcock stepping up.
    2. 3 Turn Overs Won by Chris Alcock. Also 15 carries for 48m. 9 Tackles
    3. 3 local lads, Hardwick, Scoble & RHP all had big rucking efforts - unfazed by status of opposition.
    4. RHP 2nd most tackles (10) behind Stander (15).
    5. Hardwick 6 carries for 37m and 8 tackles.
    6. Another consistent effort from DHP - 22 carries for 124m with 5DB, 1 CB, 6 Passes and 4 Off Loads, 5 Tackles and 2 saved tackles.
    7. Where has THIS Ben Taps been hiding all year? 6 carries for 117m with 4DB, 2CB, 7 Passes and 7 Tackles.
    8. Ian Prior has kicked on goal at close to 90% for the year.
    9. Good rucking efforts from Ainsley & Koteka.
    10. Front Row Total Ruck Involvements close to 30% - highest for Aussie teams this round. Well done Millar & Scoble.
    11. Best ruck nos to Backs:
    + Godwin - 19 Total - 15 Attack/4 Defence
    + Tapuai - 12T - 9A/3D
    + Brache - 11T - 10A/1D
    12. Force involvement in Defence Rucks at equal lowest level for the year in order to maintain the Defensive Line. Averaged 0.5 player per Brumbies Ruck. Back Row had close to 50% of Def Ruck Involvements.

Can't see the Brumbies getting past the Highlanders next week.

That's great work rate for a prop by Millar. Just need to work on his scrummaging. Although I thought the Brumbies got away with a few early hits.

Alcock has been great in my opinion. Shame he is leaving. I found myself during the game actually considering that I prefer him to Hodgo. Sacrilege!

Hardwick, Scoble, RHP, Cowan, Walton, Koteka, Ainsly, Rangi all local products, great to see.

Walton's not local, unless we're thinking about our move to Western Sydney...
