    Soaks Collapse Complete

Soaks have now lost 9 in Row including losses to bottom 3 teams in last 3weeks.
What hell happened ? And rumour the 2nd grade coach telling his players if they ask you to go up say no! Clearly to set himself up a premiership in 2s and the head Coaching job for next season , feel for Jerry but not surprised it's Soaks Mate!

Yup I can imagine that is the case, Prems without a win in over 2 months and reserves virtually unbeaten.. poor form from Soaks. I've seen this before at clubs - as club within a club. Their reserves might make/win the GF, but will cause the club a lot of problems along the way.

Isn't it usual practice for a club at this time of year to support the winning teams?

Soaks have spent $90,000 0n a kitchen to feed not buy players this year.

Depends how it's done. We had an issue at Wanneroo years ago with this, a successful 2nd grade side that refused to allow players to move up to 1st grade when needed resulting in 1sts having to move guys from 3rd and 4th grade up, which is stupid. 1st grade has priority, period. Perhaps a little bit of latitude, but with Soaks having their prems and reserves at two different ends of their respective ladders, I'd hazard a guess the reserves coach is taking the piss.

Well according to the logic you and others have posted on another thread Zed they can play each other in a promotion relegation match at the end of the season, won't have to worry about the travel factor either.

Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.

Not the only club in grief, ARKS in both championship grade's have won a total of 4 games out of 24 matches played and on average are getting done about 40-10.
Copped a 93-0 hiding in the weekend, anyone know what's happened out there.
Maybe Seven Mile can shed some light on this.

Enforced the no pay no play policy and lost good players to other clubs I understand

These so called good players obviously don't believe in paying their way so are these other clubs not making them pay their fees, sound like freeloading arseholes to me.

Good solidarity shown by the clubs who took them, way to go.

Arks have a squad of maybe 30 players now, so struggle to put two teams on the pitch. Bunbury have lost players to Collie in the SW Comp so have pulled their As only to leave around 12/15 for a Bs comp team

Both Rocky and Pirates put out a few As to help out the Bs that enables the Bs to back up for As games and S/Lions have managed to put out a third XV ... whilst newcommers Perth Irish have struggled and often in this half of the season forfeited Bs.

The Champ clubs have struggled given the new regstration methods of onine regstration then club fees, that people subtly forget having done the registration bit, a pain in the arse for shift workers, FIFO etc and all those who can't committ to a whole season.

Clubs play each other several times a season with nothing to look forward to ... only another transition season the following year that appears to be part of a never ending 5 year plan never to get past the second year.

Promotion relegation is a must, perhaps the ARU input might put that right ... something to play for !

Sorry Kev, ARU are only taking over the professional arm, even so. it doesn't look like they are prioritising anything above getting the Reds nicely sorted out for the princely sum of precisely nothing. It appears to have cost us control of our franchise!

Well what's your fix for repairing WA rugby? Do nothing? You should get a job at RWA.

So, with a grass roots level breeding no competition, can we expect anything more from the professional arm of Rugby in WA. Perhaps things need to be a little more competitive to work out who's got the mettle not just the dollars ...
