    Isi Naisarani confirmed.

    PERTH SPIRIT (5) V BRISBANE CITY (7)
Sunday 2 October, 2:00pm (AWST) at UWA Sports Park

The Wallaby v the new signing

If there’s one forward who’s taking the NRC by storm it’s 21-year-old Isi Naisarani. The huge no. 8 has recently signed a deal with the Western Force for next year and will come up against incumbent Force no.8 Ben McCalman this weekend. Wallaby-capped McCalman is still on the comeback trail from injury and will no doubt want to stamp his authority over the young gun at UWA Sports Park.

Are there any stats on Isa Naisarani I can't find anything. He looks a good signing, but what does this means for Kane Koteka, Richard Hardwick and Onehunga Havili. From the outside it looks like Ross will definitely be playing in the locks next year.

Think a backrow of Hodgson, Mcalman and Isa would be pretty handy. Just read a Foxsports article saying Isa might be the long term answer at 8 for Wallabies. If he lives up to half the hype then good for Force.
Think coaching staff is looking better than it as in past years. Just hope we don't just get more of the same.

More competition, driving up the overall standard hopefully!
Because it better not mean a bloody rotation policy

Naisarani NRC stats. 195cm 115kgs 21 yrs old plays 6 or 8. Last week vs Sydney Rays had 24 carries for 130 metres gained. Big ball running backrower from Souths in Brisbane who has a knack for scoring tries.

I don't think it will mean too much for Kane or Dicky, they are biding time until Hodgson retires. It will definitely heat up competition for 6 and 8 though which will hopefully bring out the best in Cotterel, Stander and McCalman.

I dont mind them "rotating" the best player there every week until somebody proves themselves the standout best....competition for spots usually brings out the best in people.

If we go back to the scheduled "resting" of underperforming superstars who then turn out once they finally do hit the park to be underdone ill be right pissed tho

Sorry I was meaning from a contract point of view. Of course having more competition for spots can only mean good things for game day.

I reckon we should approach the five 19 year olds playing for Wellington in the Mitre 10 Comp. How many Australian under 20's playing NRC?

Dunno how old the Wellington 6 is but he looks the goods. But we are pretty OK there.
