‘Zero to Hero’ Charity:

Our Future Force players participated at the recent ‘Youth Focus’ program at Curtain University, the program promotes awareness of mental health in young people and actively works to reduce the stigma attached to mental health. The players worked with staff organisers, entertained the kids and manned the “pass the ball” competition.

Player Updates:

Nuade Wessels (Associates- Fly-half)

‘Noddy’ is the youngster of the group (18) and thrives on doing the ‘extras’ with his kicking and passing. Noddy sets high standards and goals for himself which we are sorting into more manageable pieces.

Dylan Pieterse (Cottesloe – Backrower)

Dylan has already shown he offers plenty in his approach to training that is showing good results on the field.

James Amm (Nedlands- Centre)

James already has made a name for himself at the Force for his speed & evasion - he has also shown glimpses of his brilliance in his matches to-date.

Mees Erasmus (Palmyra –Prop)

Mees is intense in his approach to training and playing and was Best on Field in his first match in the Pindan Premier Grade for Palmyra. He is also very studious in our classroom sessions and thrives on challenges.

Vui Shambeckler (UWA- Prop)

Vui has excelled in both his rugby and his approach to his work. He is only 18 but has made the Australian U20 squad which is a massive boost for Sham and the Future Force Foundation.

Riley Winter (West Scarborough - Lock)

Riley works hard on his game and has produced strong and consistent performances for his club to date. Riley is his own toughest critic and strives to deliver on his expectations.

Angus Taylor (West Scarborough - Scrum half)

Angus had a strong Super U20 series and led the team with distinction as the side’s captain. He has settled back into the Foundation program working hard on his game and skills.

Richard Hardwick (UWA - Flanker)

Richard has worked hard in sections of the Foundation program while more recently focusing on his full time pro duties after recently being elevated. ‘Dicky’ has two caps to his name and will look to earn more in the back end of the season.

Onehunga Havili (Palmyra- Wing)

Onehunga is another of the Future Force players who has been elevated to train on the pro calendar but to his credit enjoys participating in sections of the Future Force Foundation program when his training schedule allows.

Harry Scoble (UWA – Hooker)

Hooker Harry Scoble is the 3rd player of our current group who is training with the pro squad. Harry made his debut over the weekend coming off the bench against the Waratahs in the second half. Harry was strong on debut with some good carries and scored a following a rolling maul.

Good to see the talent being spread to the clubs that need it.
