Look I haven't followed Shaun Edwards' career, but I'm struggling to think of more than one coach who wouldn't be an improvement on the current situation.
You might be right....he might be worse, but unless that's based upon more than England's world cup performance I'd suggest that you look more deeply.
C'mon the
I had a quick search on Lancaster a while back and from what I remember I think he seemed to go from assistant coach to the English coach very quickly. He was at some club I think it was for less than 2 years? Got them promoted up a division but then they got massacred and sent back down the next season.
Might be too early to tell how good he is as well.
But I agree that something needs to change. the good that has been done by the current setup has now been rather outweighed by these results & the positive aspects of the game we had previously which are now no longer.
I saw the Bulls out for a team run along the Swan River tonight.
Lancaster's international coaching record for those who are interested (played/won/drawn/lost/%)
46-28-1-17 61% (1/6 against NZ, 2/4 against Aus and 0/6 against the Boks)
I've heard people saying that sort of thing about Lancaster (not Edwards) and that makes me wonder whether it isn't something that's at least worth considering. Any Northern Hemisphere team can pretty much count a match against any of the southern hemisphere heavyweights as a probable lose and therefore a record of better than 50% in international matches has to mean something.
But stats can be used to prove almost any point you want if used correctly, so I wouldn't make a call either way without somebody who can give a fairly detailed descriptn of his background weighing in.
I'm just thinking that it can't get a lot worse than it is at the moment, so why not look at some left-field options?
C'mon the
He has a 100% Super Rugby coaching record.
Oh yes it can. All it would take is a knee jerk reaction to the current situation, in the false hope of a quick fix, without any changes to the player recruitment farce. I don't know enough about the front office situation to comment. Leave that to those who are qualified.
Whether Foley has to go or not may even be irrelevant to fixing the whole of the situation for future seasons.

your screenshot shows exactly what we are saying - if any part of the foot is behind or on the line, the player is still counted as being within the 22, and not out side.
therefore, as long as some part of his foot is touching the 22m line, he is within the 22 - Correct call by the ref
