    Perth Wildcats blow out the NZ Breakers to win the 2015-16 NBL Championship
    THE Perth Wildcats have completed a blow out win over the New Zealand Breakers to walk away as the 2015-16 NBL Champions. Casey Prather led the way for the Wildcats with 19 points, while Damian martin chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds. In front of a sell out crowd at Perth Arena, the Wildcats won an NBL-best seventh title as a franchise.

    I'm sure I read somewhere that they are actually one of the most successful sporting franchises in the world?

    It helps that 4 out of 8 teams reach the finals, but that still means being in the top half every year for 30 years in a league with a salary cap. That takes quite some doing.

    I think it was a % of games won, not just finals appearances and championships. this was a few years ago i read it. Had a quick look but cant find the article

    And in the early 90's (when basketball was pretty huge in Australia) there were 14 teams and only top 6 made finals. Wildcats won back to back titles in that period.
