Prior only gets the kick to 22m.

Throwing it around. Another penalty. Ruru tap and go.

Harper stepping 5m out but throws the ball over the sideline! (yellow shirt ballboys perhaps mistaken for team-mates?) Should have taken the tackle to recycle.

Staniforth grabs the lineout ball for country. Game over.

Perth had their chances but miss out again.

Another effort with great heart and tenacity by the boys.

Down to fourteen for over fifty with the most experienced backline player off.

All gave their best but special mention to the forwards again, especially the front and back rows.

Prior again taking on a unaccustomed pivot role and urging and mentoring the youngsters good on him.

What I saw of Jono Lance I really liked, crisp passing, good vision, a more than decent defender and a very capable boot, I think we have snared a good one with him.

Most experienced and dumbest, good game to watch still don't agree with the points set up. If they are going to be really weird penalties given away in the 22 should be optional kicks at goal worth 3 points. They are a reward for attacking teams while in a try scoring position.
Jono Lance a bit wooden for me, maybe Prior should look at a change of position, did a good job.
I am afraid not much in our backline to be excited about, look more like Rugby league players than Union players to me.

With the NSW Country Eagles up 24-0 at half time only a minor miracle would see the Spirit in the finals now.
