Rugby World Cup squads: All Blacks name Waisake Naholo

    FOX SPORTS
    August 30, 2015 6:09PM

INJURED winger Waisake Naholo was named in New Zealand’s squad to defend the Rugby World Cup as the selectors trusted a Fijian folk healer to repair Naholo’s broken leg in time for the tournament’s pool rounds.

Naholo suffered a cracked tibia in his debut test against Argentina on July 16 and was thought to be sidelined for three months, ruling him out of action until the Cup’s late playoff rounds.

But Naholo traveled to his native Fiji to receive treatment from a traditional healer and the All Blacks’ say medical tests show he has made a recovery and is now likely to be available at least for the All Blacks’ third pool match against Georgia on October 3.

Read on for all the confirmed squads for the RWC, which kicks off on September 19 (AEST).

Completely? Surely they change one player and they meet the requirement.

You could say that for most teams, but those players selected are obviously eligible

The Courier-Mail has named this squad of non-selected players, who'd make a pretty good barbarians squad:

    Robinson (Aus)
    Hibbard (Wal)
    Corbisiero (Eng)
    Broadhurst (NZ)
    Horwill (Aus)
    Coetzee (RSA)
    Gill (Aus)
    Higginbotham (Aus)
    Phillips (Wal)
    Sopoaga (NZ)
    Jane (NZ)
    Lealiifano (Aus)
    Burrell (Eng)
    O'Connor (Aus)
    Dagg (NZ)

Looks like Halfpenny has done his cruciate and is out. Shame, the best players should be playing the biggest games. His kicking keeps teams honest in their own half
