Hoffman is a strange fish, I noted in the first half that he was a real 'Tahs man, and in the second half, when I expected him to go wild, he seemed to be a little pro-Force - amazing. Then again, I'm sure I'll be told the statistics don't back it up.

Sometimes the ref supports whomever is playing in one particular direction on the field. That way both sides get support but it switches at halftime.

No. Refs tend to favour one direction (not meant to be a music/audio output reference) all night at whatever stadium. For example at nib stadium, they support whichever team is running south all night). Thus they favour one team in the first half and the other team in the second.
