The data below shows how Aussie No 6s have performed up the end of Round 9.
I’ve included Lopeti Timani due to Bob Dyer’s recommendation that he should be considered as a No 6 for the wallabies. I don’t agree.
Clearly, Sean Mcmahon and Scott Fardy are the better performing No 6s in Australia.
Angus Cottrell needs to stay on the pitch and is missing Hodgo’s presence on the field.
The lower group represent some of the better performing No 8s who are ineligible to play for the Wallabies.
Adam Thomson's contribution for the Reds has been mighty this year.
It’s interesting that the hype around Jacques Potgeiter, especially by FoxSports commentators, is not supported by the stats.

I can't work out why Angus has been left out of so much game time lately? I thought he was fit just before the SA tour? Could really have done with his impact last week it almost seems as if he's being protected a bit - is that due to injury? And BTW when will RHP be getting into the team- he's been playing really well from what I've seen also!
I think Angus was injured this season again and they're maybe nursing him back in. But, it just shows again the strength we've got in the back row, and how it's going to get even tougher for a spot once Hodgo is back.
I would love to ser a back 5 of
4. Coleman
5. Mafi
6. RHP
7. Hodgson
8. McCalman
Good work rate. Good weight. 4 jumpers. Hopefully enough power to get good go forward. Really worried about our prop stocks though.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
If Hodgson does keep playing on into 2017 (.......and loses his sharpness), maybe he'll get promoted from the back row into the front row and solve our propping issues...??
