    Advice for newcomer

We just recently moved to Perth, and are planning on attending our first force game against the Melbourne Rebels this Friday.

I could do with some advice on the stadium. Which stands to you guys recommend that we enter? Are there any with a better view, or are there any to avoid?

Also, is there any need to pre book tickets, or will there be enough space just to turn up on the day.

    Many thanks for your help,

Should be safe to buy on the day. Eastern stand is best but all seats are ok, depending on budget. IMO.

    Welcome aboard.

Heaps of seats left to buy on the day except when the Force play the Crusaders or Chiefs.

Eastern stand is great unless you're in it at about sunset ;-) The ground level seats get you right up close to the action and they usually reserve the first couple of rows, so you might be able to get them if that's your thing.

Otherwise, the second tier gives a good overall view of the match, both stands have easy access to the catering and reasonable prices, which get better the further you are away from the pitch.

Compared to where we came from there isn't a bad seat in the stadium.

If you don't mind standing the Shed at the northern end of the ground is usually a lively night and you're in the frame for the Honeybadger to shake your hand if he scores a try. (they'll probably run towards that end in the first half)

Apart from that....consider buying seats before you arrive because public transport is included in the ticket price, if you live near a train station that means you can hit the pi$$ as hard as you like and not worry about getting home. Check the local pubs, because some get narky about you wearing team gear. If you aren't wearing ocean blue (well my first question would be why not...) that won't be a problem.

Other than that, Have fun, support the Force (God knows they could use the help) and don't worry about your throat, they heal!

    Welcome aboard Jon.
We stand in the shed and agree with Gigs - its lively, but that's how we like it.
If you are looking for a pub that's walkable before the game, try the Queens.
Avoid the Brisbane as it gets packed and its extremely slow to get a drink.

Not sure who you followed in England but be prepared to experience a lot of highs and lows (more lows I'm afraid) - but I don't mind saying, we are the most loyal fans in the comp

If you want a pub within walking distance of the ground go The Game, it's a sports bar on Aberdeen St. A few of us have started heading there.

I'd suggest JB O'Reillys, but I'm not sure if there is room on the bus that is organised for Force games.

Lively wasn't intended as an insult.....Some people like to make a lot of noise....I'm one of them, but I hate watching a game of rugby from the end, so I make my own little shed on the 22 in the eastern stand.

See if you can get a hold of the 180 degree photo taken the other week, there are some very rough heads in there

I sorta meant all that. But us Mungos are a little too monosyllabic to rite so much.

No insult taken gigs. I would think that our language would be a little too strong for some people to handle each week hence we choose the shed as we can move around (or others can move away);-)

    Welcome Aboard
I'm in E127 with quite a few Sea of Blue and TWFers... we have been known to be lively.. There seems to be tickets for general sale around us. Lower tier almost on 50 great seats..except when it rains make sure your tickets are higher to be under cover.. I think my row is H and I just miss the overhead roof.. great company.. close to food outlets and toilets.. LOL!
