    Some team comparisons:

    Starting XV:
    FORCE: 729 SXV caps; 7 (5W/1AB/1T) Test Players - 83 caps
REBELS: 682 SXV caps; 6 Test Players - 55 caps.

    Benches:
FORCE: 195 SXV caps; 0 Test Players.
REBELS: 204 SXV caps; 1 Test Players - 5 caps.

    Packs:
    FORCE: 880kg
    REBELS: 895kg

Lose another 8kg with Front Row replacements.
    Outweighed by 15kg in pack.
Force slightly more SXV experience similar. Similar experience on bench.
Force slightly ahead for Test Rugby players and experience.

Enjoyed the 2nd half effort last week.

Like the team mix this week.
Good to see Luke Burton get a start at FB and Adam Coleman and Mitchell Scott on bench.

Hopeful of further improvement and a good win.
    Force by 10 at home.

I hope to Christ they've been practising covering wing defence - it was pitiful against the Canes.

    Cummins back to boost Force

    Nick Taylor
    March 12, 2015, 2:30 pm

Winger Nick “Honey Badger” Cummins returns to nib Stadium for the first time since his return from Japan when Western Force clash with the Melbourne Rebels tomorrow night.

Cummins made his try-scoring Super Rugby comeback for the Force against the Brumbies last Friday.

Coach Michael Foley has made one change to the starting side that lost 27-15 in Canberra with Luke Burton replacing Luke Morahan at full-back. Morahan has a hamstring injury.

Second-rower Adam Coleman who missed two games with hip and groin injuries returns to the reserves bench.

Also back in the match day squad is winger Mitch Scott who scored his maiden try in the loss to the Hurricanes at nib Stadium two weeks ago.

Coach Michael Foley said the side was looking forward to making amends for the loss to the Hurricanes in the first home game.

“We’re excited to be back at home. Friday provides us with an opportunity to play for our fans” Foley said.

“Last week’s performance (against the Brumbies) was a true reflection of what it means to us to play for each other and the jersey.

“With our attitude right, a number of areas within our game improved through the 80 minutes. We started to manipulate the defence and apply good pressure with ball in hand.

“It’s important that we take the Brumbies performance and build on it on Friday night.”

Rebels forward Luke Jones will make his 50th appearance for the club and is one of four former Force players in the squad. The others are centre Mitch Inman and reserve front rowers Cruze Ah-Nau and Paul Alo-Emile.

Coach Tony McGahan said Jones had become an integral part of the club.

“For such a young man to be reaching a half century of Rebels caps shows what a big impact he has had during his time in Melbourne,” McGahan said.

“We are looking to him to continue to lead at set piece time, and to lift against a Western Force pack that has a great work rate and is extremely physical.”

In the only change to the starting side beaten by the Brumbies in round three, Scott Fuglistaller will start at openside flanker with Colby Fainga’a named as a reserve.

Hooker Tom Sexton and second-rower Steve Cummins are set for their debuts from the bench.

“We have an extremely competitive back row with plenty of competition for places,” McGahan said.

“Tom Sexton has worked incredibly hard to return from a serious knee injury suffered last season while Steve Cummins has impressed over the pre-season and early part of the season.”

Force: Pek Cowan, Nathan Charles, Tetera Faulkner, Sam Wykes (capt), Steve Mafi, Brynard Stander, Chris Alcock, Ben McCalman, Alby Mathewson, Zack Holmes, Nick Cummins, Junior Rasolea, Kyle Godwin, Marcel Brache, Luke Burton. Reserves: Heath Tessmann, Chris Heiberg, Oliver Hoskins, Adam Coleman, Kane Koteka, Ian Prior, Sias Ebersohn, Mitchell Scott.

Rebels: Toby Smith, Pat Leafa, Laurie Weeks, Luke Jones, Lopeti Timani, Sean McMahon, Scott Fuglistaller, Scott Higginbotham (capt), Nic Stirzaker, Jack Debreczeni, Tom English, Mitch Inman, Tamati Ellison, Dom Shipperley, Mike Harris. Reserves: Tom Sexton, Cruze Ah-Nau, Paul Alo-Emile, Steve Cummins, Colby Fainga’a, Luke Burgess, Bryce Hegarty, Sefanaia Naivalu.

After Mitch scored that tried he also converted the kick from the sideline

I wanna see KK carve it up this week, he's looked lively every time he's stepped onto the field.

Burton is a good pick, concentrated enthusiasm, and he doesn't strike me as a guy who'll kick a lot of ball away. with some badger support, I hope to see Tommy English having a very bad night.

Harris and Shipperley need to be belted early and scared off the footy.

Dury out on Marcel...hasnt done anything all season....like to see Scott get a run on he looks like a head down go straight runner...too many WF back trying to side step their way through people Marcel and Rasolea...both need to show their worth quickly....

brache is a 13. Rasolea annoys me with the little jink he does every time he moves into contact. He's got the bulk he should just run straight and hard.

What I'd like to see is Rasolea running low and hard at the gap rather than the player, then looking for the offload to a player that is actually there. If anyone could have learned a lot from the 'Canes game, it is our centres.

How we feeling about the game folks?
    Confident?
    I feel a little wary
Just not sure which team will turn up
The team that was bashed by the Canes or the team that ran the brumbies very close in the 2nd half last week?

I am always wary of the Rebels as, on paper, they are games we SHOULD win! Guess it will all depend on that 'attitude' factor again.
