Still got some problems with our defence. Still too many missed tackles. No line speed. Disorganized pillar defenders. Kick chase was slightly better. Still lose the gain line too often.
No real plan on attack. If the individual doesnt make a miracle play the whole attack breaks down. No runners hitting the ball at pace to create some momentum to attack with. Not enough involvement from our wingers running holes off the inside backs off 4 plus phase. Very predictable kicking strategy. Too many grubber kicks taking the pressure off the defence. One cut out pass thrown all game. No intelligence to what we are trying to achieve on attack. No real variations to our starter plays making it easy to defend our 2nd, 3rd and 4th phases. Holmes telegraphs when he is going to pass to the backs by running sideways. Only runs at the defence when hes going to go himself. Backs who dont know how to run off each other. No angled runners, no decoy plays, backs standing too deep when we use secondary line attack.
Injuries to props and games in South Africa vs Bulls and Sharks almost spells season over i think. We could be 1-6 by the time we get back from SA. Actually we will be 1-6 when we return.
