Neddies started with barely 15 players to Kala's 40. To say Neddies were keeping players back was an understatement 40 minutes before kickoff they didn't have a run on team.

Soaks had a pretty good day at the office against Palmyra today, winning most grades, except colts, where they struggled a little with numbers.

Their first grade captain, a towering second rower, lead by example for the half he was on the field, and did their kicking pretty effectively for them, a la John Eales.

There was only a try in it at the end, but Soaks did most of the attacking in a shortened game, and considering they played with half of their regular firsts missing while Pally were at full strength, they demonstrated they also will be a team to beat this season.
