    Yes...and No

ARU shouldn't touch Greg Inglis solely on the request of Queensland.

Perhaps they could reach out to him and send him to the Rebels, or the Force.....maybe the Brumbies.

    You all know why

You can forget that. Going on his past form He'll probably want to play for the AB's. Don't worry about him not having resident status for New Zealand - that's in Queensland.

At the very least, they could target RL players who have a union background. The only successful RL player with no union background at all, was Jason Robinson; and he was playing union in the Super League off-season for years before switching to union proper.

I think Greg Inglis would truly be better off going to the NFL. Failing that, he could make some bloody good money in the CFL too for that matter.

Or he could possibly earn a dollar doing the thing that he's been doing very well for years.

Sorry, I'll get back in my box

PS, no issue with Greg Inglis at all.

I DO have a problem with Jim Carmichael telling the ARU to gamble a couple of million dollars on converting a league star with the inevitable result being that they give him a free ride to the Wallabies in order to make some of the money back.

If Carmichael wants Inglis, maybe he should FIND SOME F@$KING MONEY TO PAY HIM!

What Carmichael really means is: ARU should pay Inglis to come to Queensland.

It does seem like that sometimes.

Nope, that was Karmichael Hunt (along with playing it at school). I don't recall Brad Thorn having a union background either but I could be wrong.

The Reds were beaten by the Brumbies in the forwards. Buying in backs, regardless of where from, will not fix the problem.

I'm not a fan of fast tracking in people from other codes either. If you want to play rugby you should earn your way to higher honours like everyone else.

Call me crazy but wouldn't the QRU benefit from spending some money on a Coach that can Coach.

Maybe they feel they have the ARU over a barrel because they're holding onto the ARU appointed supercoach!

QLDRU cap in hand to the ARU, have they lost revenue recently?

    The RG effect.

I think the money would be better spent on education programs in schools to help combat QLDer's historical ignorance of geography.
