That's a good team for a BaaBaas match, it's not like Cheika isn't on a hiding to nothing for this tour. He's had a plane flight to get acquainted with the team and he'll be criticized for every decision he makes unless the team starts to instantaneously win games. If it was me, I'd be trying out both the fringe players and the regular starters who I don't think are likely to be good enough. I certainly don't think Hodgo is there to replace Hooper, but he might just be there paying mind to the fact that we will need a fetcher against some teams and he's getting to be the first one looked at.
As for Kyle, there is a whole queue of centres that need looking at before we get to the fringe.
Toomua, Lealiifano, cooper (don't laugh, it's a possibility) AAC (ok, maybe not as a 12, but stranger things .....) all have Wallaby experience before we even consider the whole Beale disaster! Kyle will only crack game time after it has been conclusively proven that all of those names aren't worth the effort......he'll be lucky to hit the bench this tour, but might be an option if he blows the training paddock apart.
