He'll be a beast once he gets his fitness sorted.

Apparently he's too big to fit in the current QANTAS international seats. When they upgrade later this year he will be able to travel overseas with the squad.

I dunno, he'll always be looking for a position to play and never finding one. Playing lock, we lose the least with him on the park (missing a lineout jumper, but little else) he's too tall for prop and too slow for the flank. He'll never get small enough for people to be able to lift him, so at best is the quick pop to the front option, which will get found out pretty quickly.

He'd make an awesome lifter IF we found somebody who could lift at the front and provide sufficient control (remembering that most people would be grasping at bootlaces once will lifts to full stretch.

So if he can't play any of the forward positions well, how the hell did he get as far up the ladder as the Wallaby squad in the first place???!! Coz he's a Tah???? ;-p

No, because he only played part of matches with Jacques Potgieter breaking down the opposition first or straight after.

Also the Tahs had Dennis and/ or Hoiles in the back row that could jump in the line out to compensate.

It's all Bob Dwyer! He wants to take over the WorryTahs and Australian Rugby.
And he's all about NSW being the only place where rugby is played in Australia!

No, it's because he's big enough, and good enough to warrant a look. Even in international rugby there's no reason to slash your wrists about losing a lineout jumper as long as what he brings to the table compensates for the loss. If he provides enough at the breakdown to allow us to pick a flanker to cover the Jim, then great. If he provides enough in the scrum for a lightweight prop to play and will becomes the lifter, similarly great.

Rugby is a complex game, with many tasks, most of which have been bundled up into traditional roles, as long as the whole is sufficiently good at anything, a non-traditional lock won't hurt anything.

If he ups his workrate, you watch him get picked time and again, because physically he's a freak!

I wonder if he can gain speed, maybe turn fat into muscle and become Lomu-like? Dunno who to play in the centres? Let's put Hooper and Skelton through a weights/speed program and free up forward positions for Hodgo and Pocock.

Would this be possible or impossible?

Based on his skill set, maybe shed some weight, add some attitude and tell him to play 8.
