This stubborn attitude to team selection really baffles me. It's as though Link & the coaches have dug themselves a hole & can't seem to figure a way to get out! I thought the Deans era of favouritism was meant to be over! At least give Hodgo game time to prove the point.

It proves to me that there is some behind-the-scenes manipulation of the selection process.

For all the use they are at the breakdown, they should play Palu at 12 and Hooper at 13. They only get picked for their ball running anyway.

Hooper can then afford to use his running game (which is very good).
I agree with this. I think our only hope of Hodgo playing is at 6. There is no way they are going to drop Hooper. If we have 2 jumpers in the second row and one at number 8 it could work. For example Simmons, Horwill, Hodgo, Hooper, Higgers. That could probably work.

Matt Toomua tackles better than Palu and Tevita Kurindrani is more effective at a ruck than Michael Hooper (actually my grandad is more effective at a ruck than Michael Hooper)

Don't think that the Wallabies can afford to have both Higgers and Hooper in the same back row.

Hodgo would have to do ALL of the tackling while those two fight over who's going to play wider and looser.

Hodgo would still score more tries than both of them by just staying up close and personal and making the hard yards close to the line!!
