True, he's a good bloke, and coach, but the politics will keep cropping up if you don't deal with it. That'll be part of his housekeeping, or its early doors. It's part of the job (unfortunately).

Only concern with Dean is that Joondalup will be his 4th club (Uwa Baysie neddies) so another than that hes a good signing for Joondalup

Having a Director of Rugby seperate from the coaches takes away most of the polictal bullshit , and apart from venues west we had no dramas or any polictal crap at our club last season so i am sure dean will excel at our club

I just hope Joon Bro's excel in the Prems this year ... the golden corridor must be broken if rugby is to survive in WA.
JB has the best chance over the next two years to get into it.

With Sinders moving back East, what news faces will we see in Floreat ??

The main reason there were no dramas WAS Brett's personality and experience. Is Dean in charge of selecting coaches/managers - I would hope so, apparently that's already been done, or is done, and he's walking into a complete unknown. BTW will we hear bagpipes up at Arena this year, word is we will.

I expect a head coach will be named shortly with our 1st XV coach's frim last season Jards and Wellsy working as assistants which will give us a very strong coaching lineup.
    No Bag pipes!!"

That must have pushed his price up. Surprised they have much left after the money being offered to players

You create nothing but absolute grief if you pay club players money in Perth

Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.

I think you would find all 1st grade coaches are receiving some kind of remuneration for the time and effort they put in, it would only basically cover expenses.
1st grade coaches would put in at least 12 hours per week.

That sounds like hobby hours to me.

I put 12 hours a week into my other sport and pay for the privilege

When I said coaches - I meant ALL coaches. I have been made aware that ALL senior coaches are being paid, not just Premier grade. I may have that wrong, I'm sure I'll be corrected if it's not so.
