Force v Blues - TWF Group Parade

In yet another great initiative by HQ, the next home game will have a Club & Country theme.

For the Force players that will mean them wearing their club socks for the match and it will also a chance for clubs a chance to expose themselves (not in streaker kind of way) pre match during the planned parade.

Details are still coming through, but your local club should have plenty of info from HQ today and I will post it up here when available.

HQ have also offered The Whole Force the chance to have our group in this parade. We already have a banner that can be used and I am seeking interest from TWFers who would like to take part in the pre match parade and also perhaps someone to take charge of the group. I am working with The Publican to have a basic flyer done up promoting TWF and as he has also been invited to have his own banner and group.

FORCE TO REPRESENT THEIR CLUBS AGAINST BLUES

The Western Force players will wear their club socks when they take on the Blues at the ‘Force Field’ (nib Stadium) on Saturday, 28 June as part of the ‘Club & Country’ theme.

Each player will wear the socks of his respective Western Australian club, as part of the tribute to the clubs and nationalities that make up and support Western Australian rugby.

As part of the ‘Club & Country’ celebration, there will be a parade around the ground prior to the match featuring the many clubs and countries that are represented in the community that supports rugby in WA. Those wishing to take part in the parade should contact memberships@rugbywa.com.au.

Western Force captain Matt Hodgson, from the Wanneroo club, says he and the team are proud to be wearing their club colours in the match.

“This is a great opportunity for us to pay respect to those clubs and individuals in our community that have worked so tirelessly to grow rugby in Western Australia,” he said.

“Our clubs are vital for us in contributing to the overall health of the code in WA and this is just a small way for us to recognise all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes.

“As a proud Roo Dog, I’m looking forward to donning my green, white and red socks against the Blues.”

The thought of rugby players exposing themselves makes me rather happy, I must say ;-p
