    BOK s V World 15

Pity this was not televised to Australia as it sounded like a good game... Apparently they felt it was not worth the money to bring it to us..

I watched this game last night in Philippines, Gits was outstanding and GIGS fav player also had a good match. Considering they only had a week or so to train together, I thought the WXV were very good. Couple of late run away tries to Boks blew the margin out,but worth the watch.

They had it streamed on vipboxsports.em (not sure on the em, but rest is right)

Apparently, the broadcasting rights weren't offered for sale so Fox couldn't even bid for them. Why would anyone turn down broadcasting $$$???

Good looking line up they had. Not sure if this is how they'll look going in to the RC. Maybe need to promote a few more lesser experienced players in to the squad.

That's an awesome back row & the back 3 could rip anyone to shreds. I've seen in a few of the Cheetahs games how well Le Roux & Hendricks combine.

Good to see Goosen & Morne Steyn still getting the call... as in not Sias.

South Africa: 15 Willie le Roux, 14 Cornal Hendricks, 13 JP Pietersen, 12 Frans Steyn, 11 Bryan Habana, 10 Morne Steyn, 9 Ruan Pienaar, 8 Duane Vermeulen, 7 Willem Alberts, 6 Francois Louw, 5 Victor Matfield (c), 4 Bakkies Botha, 3 Jannie du Plessis, 2 Bismarck du Plessis, 1 Tendai Mtawarira.
Replacements: 16 Schalk Brits, 17 Gurthro Steenkamp, 18 Coenie Oosthuizen, 19 Flip van der Merwe, 20 Schalk Burger, 21 Fourie du Preez, 22 Johan Goosen, 23 Lwazi Mvovo.

I was talking with a Queenslander mate this morning (funnily, SOO never came up) and I said the same thing. It appears (from the reports I've read) that Europe has had an effect on extracting these boys heads from their asses.

For the record. I'm on a believe it when I see it with both of them, but high praise from Wilco is nothing to be sneezed at, maybe there is room in Aussie rugby for them.

Odd choice of shirt colours for the World XV - why choose something so close to the South African green?

Yeah, it resulted in quite a few turnovers as well I think. There were a few times the ball was passed striaght to the opposition, with the player obviously thinking it was one of their team mates.

I was actually disappointed to see Giteau at 10. I thought he has been playing 12? JOC (besides some excellent goal kicking) and Mitchell were both relatively quiet.

As far as I can see, the World XV was essentially a Barbarians team (even had an uncapped player in the side, IIRC the report I read) so why not call it a Barbars team and play in black and white hoops? Copyright issues?

Yeah, the jersey choice was silly, and considering the amount of Top 14 players, maybe it could have been a return to action for this team:
