Salesi Ma’afu and Tom Youngs show what sport is all about

REMEMBER the good old days when what happened on the field, stayed on the field?

Well, they’re back, as this wonderful interaction between two rugby stars proves.

Former Wallabies prop Salesi Ma’afu, now plying his trade for the Northampton Saints, belted Leicester hooker Tom Youngs flush on the jaw with a left hook Manny Pacquiao would be proud of.

Rather than have a sulk about it, Youngs swallowed his pride and tweeted the picture directly to Ma’afu post match with the message: “good shot mate, go well in the final. #rocky.”

And in a flashback to sport’s glory days, Ma’afu responded: “cheers mate. The jersey can overcome us in the heat of battle. I owe you a pint. #respect.”

It was to the side of a scrum in the first half of the game. More'Food hit Youngs with a right hook straight after the left. There was a bit of scuffle going on before that too.

There were quite a few cards handed out across various leagues over the weekend.
