but a genuine auction achieves both purposes. The jerseys should attract more, but the market will assess the value. Perhaps the existing "owners" could be offered them at current price + CPI + a bit for the kitty and the rest auctioned, that would give the current sponsors several choices. They could accept paying a little more to be dead certain of their jersey, they could drop the sponsorship and let it go to auction or they could try their luck at auction in an attempt to get it at a better price than the calculation.

I swear if Higgers gets bloody picked for Wallabies over Benny Mac after all the shit crap bullshit he does in a game I'll be ropeable! - & THAT ain't a pretty sight, just ask my family! Everyone's calling it "playing hard" Yada ya day adapt. HELLO! It's bad sportsmanship eg starting the fight with Donahue. Is that how a captain is meant to lead his team is it? I'll go for aggro any day but no integrity just shits me. Benny was all over Higgers in every game & deserves the jersey by miles.

Simmons seems to keep getting picked and all he has is cheap shots behind the play!

That's true as well Gigs- another one who gets picked on favouritism instead of form.

The government didn't" buy" the reserves jumpers. They are in recognition of their contribution to the redevelopment of Nib Stadium

The big difference between Benny Mac's game and Higginbothem's is that Benny Mac isn't a cat!
BMac is giving us heaps of go forward and is as abrasive at the ruck and maul - but without being a cheap shot artist and a whinger

Think a few of the Tah names that were already pencilled in just got inked in after today's game. Even Palu.

??? Would be interested in who you think played well. The backs were good but the pack was monsterd. The "Next Big Thing" Skelton is a slow lumbering lunk, the front row are average at most with TPN not being bale to hit the side of a grain silo. Dennis is off so Hooper is it really. One half decent game from Palu (good in spurts) cant be enough for a Gold jersey.... can it?

Out of the backs, Horne was the bolter but again, one game...

I agree Pitythefool - I should have used the sarcasm font. I think Palu is average most of the time but he seems to get picked for Wallaby duty because someone thinks his 'big game experience' is more important than whether or not his current form is actually any good. The selection process for the Wallabies is as bent as a nine bob note - imo.
