This Weeks Game

As we probably know, this weeks game is to played at 5:40 on Good Friday.
This is the very first time (that I can recall) that we've had an away game on Good Friday.
The pubs are all shut - even the casino.

Any ideas on how those of us a) not flying to Melb and b) without Foxtel can watch the game.

As its Good Friday, its probably politically incorrect to gate crash some other families with Fox.....

Is it streamed? even for a fee?

I've checked with Rugby WA and there are no plans.

I spoke with The Publican yesterday and he is looking into opening for the game only. It would have to be a paid entry including a substantial meal to be able to do so and will only be available to us here at TWF basically.

As per usual the ARU are light years behind their rival codes when it comes to a streaming service.

I can watch all 8 NRL games via tablet or PC and there is a similar option for the AFL.

I know a good service that does it, they do charge a fee of something like $15 for a month. but you can just pay for one month if you like.

There is also most of the replays from the last two years.

The NRL even has a season pass - all games streamed - for just $82. Unfortunately Fox controls Super Rugby, including internet rights. Bit hard to lift their game with their hans tied.

I've been tempted to fork out for the NRL digital pass but it's not really worth it given I already have Foxtel.

They should bundle TV rights and digital rights separately next time the negotiations come around. That's not too far off is it?

The NRL and the AFL did it surely the ARU can as well?

We've queued up a bbq and projector session, but its in woop woop, JB's is clearly a better location for me, but Id need to talk the other lads into it, so, for the hard sell, what exactly is on offer? ie will we be booted out the door at the 82minute mark? or possibility to kick on a little?
