They probably pay some sort of hire fee for the ground and maybe have to cover the security costs as well?
Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.
I do agree with most comments on the kiwi crowd behaviour most kiwis I know get embarrassed by the actions of a few dickheads although can it wait till the week before the match, this thread I thought was simply naming the team

As the bloke who made the post which sparked this particular tangent, my only defense is "Nick Taylor started it"
and yeah, I've got plenty of Kiwi mates who are bloody good blokes, it only seems to be a couple of teams that attract the ferals. I'm not getting all superior about it. I know all the Aussie ferals go to the GayFL and wouldn't be seen dead near a rugby field.
C'mon the
I still think the starting team must look like this
1 Pek Cowan,
2 Nathan Charles,
3 Tetera Faulkner,
4 Hugh McMeniman
5 Wilhelm Steenkamp,
6 Ben McCalman,
7 Matt Hodgson (capt),
8 Brynard Stander,
9 Alby Mathewson,
10 Sias Ebersohn,
11 Nick Cummins,
12 Kyle Godwin,
13 Luke Morahan,
14 Marcel Brache
15 Jayden Hayward,
Heath Tessmann,
Kieran Longbottom
Ollie Hoskins,
Sam Wykes,
Adam Coleman,
Angus Cottrell,
Ian Prior,
Zack Holmes,
Junior Rasolea
Why on earth would you bench Cottrell Pieter? Thought he was up there with Benny Mac for MOM last week.
Think Junior did enough to have another crack too... Mozza has to stay on the wing... offered way too much there to move him. Only position that needs looking at would be 13, but like I said Junior deserves one more go.
Great game, Fucken battled right through to the 80!
Pieter, you can't mess with the starting team after that game on Saturday, it simply sends the wrong message.
unfortunately for Stander and Brache (and to lesser extend Faulkner) the pace of the game wasn't as good when they came on. Personally I don't think it was due to the substitutions as much as other factors, but you have to make a statement that says that was good, that was what we want.
(even if it means hooking somebody after five minutes if they aren't living up to the standard
The only change that you might be able to get away with would be MMM for Wykes, you can sell that to the boys as an injury thing (wykes left the field on Saturday, MMM is coming back from a neck) but I would even consider not doing tht despite the obvious value of replacing Wykes with Madness. It makes it all too easy for a noted marshmallow to think there's nothing he can do to earn his spot. When he was on the field against the Rebels, Sam was a different bloke, abrasive, challenging, hard he even popped an offload or two to put blokes into space. Show him that he did good and reward the performance.

Totally Agree...I thought Sam played a blinder on Saturday.. IMVeryHO
The way Colman played when he came on was great anyone think that he should maybe get a gig ahead of MMM considering he is off to japan breaking the rest of his contract?
“Everyone knows whether it’s rugby, politics or whatever, front-rowers should rule the world, so to have a hooker at the helm makes sense,” Nathan Charles Western Force & Wallabies Hooker.
You got me curious on that Shasta. Google suggests it may be something to do with our friendly Bro demographics and the teams they support.
Statistics can say strange things. The overall picture is that close to 80% of the NZ population lives in the N Island. So the stat that 90 % of NZ Maori live there is not a big surprise.
Although he shows a lot of potential I'm struggling to understand the support for Marcel Brache on what we've seen to date.
In both trial game he had no impact with mistakes almost every time he touched the ball.
Maybe he's just trying too hard but doesn't warrant being in the run-on XV.
Cummins and Morahan on the wings and Hayward at FB still looks like our best combination.
But....we still have a problem at 13! C'mon Junior - show us what you've got ALL the time instead of only glimpses.
