It appears, according to my informants, that there has been an embarrassing administrative stuff up in regard to the Margaret River Sevens'

It seems a Malaysian team was invited and accepted the invitation. Somehow that team isn't the one that has turned up, but in any event some ostensibly Malaysian outfit is here. No matter, all Malaysian sevens teams these days consist exclusively of Fijian professionals, so one is as good as another.

That's not the problem, the problem is that the squad that rocked up had no idea where Margaret River is, and thought it was a jolly few minutes jaunt from Perth.

No accommodation or transport pre arranged for Margarets, no itinerary organised.

Let's hope someone has had the nouse to give them a road map to Cockburn at least.

On another note, does anyone know if anyone connected to the Nedlands juniors, as a juniors coach for example, also had a voice in the decision by RugbyWA to allow Nedlands to set up another junior training venue wherever it chose to?

The Malaysian team was in fact the actual Malaysian national team. They played well, and were a pleasure to watch. No Fijian to be seen in their number.

Proved me wrong, but every tournament I have been to (and I've been to a few) where "Borneo" teams were included meant a bunch of Fijians turned up to play for them.
