It certainly seems like the volume of the voices calling for gold jerseys is diminishing over the years (I think it's more to do with fewer numbers than the passion of the voices)

Sorry PeteO but that's a thumbs down for me, stupid story.
Fancy saying Force should wear state colours and in next sentence state that the Rebels aren't Victorian and are from Melbourne, make your mind up, are they teams representing cities or states (provinces for SA & NZ).
If we played in black and yellow the they would fade to quickly when play over east during daylight savings because we don't have it over here
Plus I don't think we would have sold anywhere near the amount of supporters gear if it was all black and yellow.

In that article, I wonder what his overall argument was about? Did he want teams to go traditional, which is what it ended up sounding like he was talking about; or did he want less blue, which is what he originally wrote the article for? He can't have it both ways. If he wants tradition, then we are going to end up with lots of blue, it can't be helped. If he doesn't want blue, then does he want random NBA-style franchise colours?
I am a proponent of gold and black for the Force simply because of tradition, but I'm not going to contradict myself by saying Melbourne, Auckland, Pretoria et al should all change, this is a provincial competition after all.
I think what he really should have focussed on was that there aren't good enough away kits in this competition. We saw it again this week when two teams wore red, black and white against each other, the Cats and the Crusaders. Dare I say it, they needed a bit of blue in THAT particular fixture!
