See you all at the ground on Saturday!

LFL apparently beat A League in ratings on the weekend. Take that soccer.

    If you're saying the A-league doesn't deserve a FTA deal - I agree!

Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.

With less than two weeks to go until the scheduled kick-off of Australia’s 2014/15 Legends Football League, aka lingerie football, the organisers have pulled the pin.

Fans have been able to buy tickets, at almost $100 a pop, for some time to watch NSW Surge’s home games at Parramatta Stadium, but organisers say they will now be refunding all tickets after they were unable to secure television coverage.

“It is with great disappointment that we announce the cancellation of the 2014/15 Legends Football League Season and all NSW Surge games scheduled for Pirtek Stadium,” a message on the Pirtek Stadium website reads.

“We hope to see the LFL at Pirtek Stadium in October of 2015.

“Any tickets already purchased are fully refundable and are available by contacting Ticketmaster or by returning to the point of sale.”

The women’s seven-on-seven American game was due to open its first expansion season, including an Adelaide team, on October 11.

Owner and founder of the league Mitchell Mortaza sent an email to all players and coaches on September 28, notifying them the upcoming second season had been cancelled.

“Following the success of our 2013 inaugural season which included drawing 30 per cent higher than projected attendance at our major NRL/AFL stadiums, a national free-to-air television contract with Seven Network’s 7 Mate, television audiences of 300,000 people for our broadcasts and expansion into Adelaide, we at LFL Australia did not want to produce a scaled-down version of the sport without a television deal being place for the upcoming 2014 season,” he said.

Don't stress LFL lovers, LFL is now rebranded LGL (owned and run by Aussies not the yanks!).. New season to kick off later this year, same teams, same squads .... Players now paid and insured, far better for the athletes !..
