The aim, and I'm buggered if I know why Fox can't see this, is to get people interested to begin with. Then when they understand the flow of the game, and they too get sick of the interruptions, they just might take out a subscription. Marketing I think it's called.
fox cant see it because they would lost customers who have fox specifically for the rugby.
Murdoch cant stand the idea of any cent that he could have in his bank account not getting there!

that and he is a horrible person, and all who fall ill of him must be punished with hellfire apparently

Not only has the A-League now got FTA exposure but Harvey Norman has jumped on as a sponsor for Friday night Football to the tune of $3 million a year

FOOTBALL Federation Australia has achieved a major coup with the once iconic NRL sponsor Harvey Norman to back the new marquee Friday night A-League games.

With SBS to simulcast Friday night games with Fox Sports this season, the deal worth more than $1 million per year will give the retailer naming rights to the only A-League game shown on free-to-air television.

While the A-League viewing figures have grown steadily in the past three seasons, the league has much invested in gaining a wider audience with the new mixture of free-to-air and pay television
