Halfback isn't the problem, the wallabies are getting dusted in the forwards

Don't understand how any of you can have excuses for the Wallabies. So relieved when the final whistle went, agony to watch. Let's face it - wipe the slate clean - start again and this time make them fight for their positions, not as a given - make it a revolving door - don't play good, next please - make it mean something - be the best of the best, Sick of - blame the coach, blame the ref, blame the rules - face it the Wallabies are just not good enough on the international stage. Work needs to be done, basic skills perfected, understanding of the game drilled in and egos punctured and pay cheques cut.

Mate only 2 of the forwards are queenslanders, it has nothing to do with state parochialism....

You're kidding yourself if you think Genia is the only problem, he is massively down on form but he isn't pushing in the scrum or responsible for cleaning out at the rucks. The forwards are playing like rubbish, Kepu is playing like shit and the backrow were taught a lesson last night.

The scrum laws are partially to blame. The ref simply cannot tell the halfback when to feed the ball. The attacking team loses all advantage.
Canno wrote an article about it the other day that makes a lot of sense. I'll throw it up when I get on my computer

So why aren't winning on the oppositions feeds? The art of scrummaging has been lost by this current crop of wallabies.

Bring in match fees rather than salaries at international level!! Mind you, that might make some of them head north as money seems to mean more these days than the privelege of playing for your country.

ARU should stop this bloody top up business and just pay if you're picked and play. Would probably save money and not be paying someone who isn't good enough or just off form.

Sorry just seen Alison's post. Great minds think a like.

The wallaby front row needs a lesson in scrummaging. Kepu was getting done by the Beast at every scrum..! The Argie's scrum will cause the same sort of problems. Good to see in the All Blacks game a scrum where both hookers were having a crack at the same put-in.......just like the old days...!

And I agree with Alison about 'pay as you play'. Would definitely sort out some egos and maybe make them value playing for the jersey a bit more.

Just read Michael Lynagh's comments about JOC laughing and joking with the Boks after the whistle last night. For me, that's evidence of the problem right there - not enough contrition in defeat because they know they still get paid and they know they'll be back again next week no matter what. Bugger how the fans all feel. Bugger those people who spend a big % of their own hard-earned moola travelling to watch them live. Bugger the sponsors.

And if they spent the time they spend in tattoo parlours on basic skills training instead that might help too.
