Naturally there is a lot of comment on Sydney radio because of the Sandor Earl infraction. One commentator said trafficking is a 4yrs - life immediate. First "using" 2 years, second 4 year minimum. Third is a life ban. Didn't say whose regulations that was taken from.

Just on the Earle thing; they said "trafficking" does not necessarily involve gaining enough to sell or supply. It can be as simple as ordering off the internet, picking it up from a PO and transporting to a doctors surgery for injection. Which it seems he did while recovering from reconstructive surgery. His medical adviser seems to have been on S Dank.

I'm not sure what the WADA guidelines are, from memory it's 2 years for the first two offenses and a life ban for a third, but cycling has been talking about life bans for second offenses and athletics has been talking about going to 4 years for a first offense and life ban for a second. Admittedly, these are sports who have needed to clean up their image!

    You are warped big time.

Your memory is very selective. Warne was dumped by his sponsors, received a ban, Cricket Australia and various commentators / former players distanced themselves from him and he's become a media target ever since for all the wrong reasons.

No thanks. You have been "warned".
RM you were obviously pissed when you read it as I was referring to Ryan to be an ambassador. I think you are just pissed off that Cott has another Force player now!

To get back to Warne, he got straight back into the team, making millions after his ban! His conviction long forgotten!

Remember that creatine saga we had back then? Percy Montgomery comes to mind. As do the Lions and England teams from that era.

Hah! Not much chance of that. Among other things he'd likely be one of those feral parents who get banned for hurling abuse all over the place.

The media will not let it drop and the entire franchise will be dragged through the mud until he goes elsewhere.

In a competitive market, a sporting franchise cannot take this level of risk.
Signing a player who was banned as a schoolboy will deter potential sponsors? PLEASE....

But punching a teammate, getting into biffs at bars, and missing team obligations - sponsors LOVE That stuff.

    That's a joke, it's a non-issue.

Just going back a couple of pages to Hansies comment about drunk drivers.
The trouble is a drunk driver will be sober the next morning. Ryan is still reaping the awards of his dealings
