That and from what everyone witnesses if they look whilst out on the weekends. Is the large percentage of people who have a high disposable income, disposing of it on booze.
Mainly youngish blokes who shouldn't drink because they can't hold their piss, but do to excess and then decide to be aggressive and angry. Starting on anything that moves or someone for some imagined slight.
Not to mention the dickheads that are actively looking for a fight.

and youll never find that at a rugby game!

the crowds at college ball sports in the states are swarming with young ladies, helping keep the guys in check, since they dont want to look stupid infront of potential skirt.

I'd assume that there would be some aspect of it. But it's heaps more widespread over here

But Aussies (and our foreign populous) would take it to extremes most times, and not be very dignified about it, and Im including my bunch of friends in that assumption. Just look at events like festivals, spring in the valley, St pats shut down in northbridge, skyworks... its just proven historically that we have no self control on such occasions.

plus, theres no OHS concerns from venues and such in the states.
I'll disagree back a little too
Most of those events you pointed too are one off's where restrictions or bans are in place on the sale of alcohol, or at least the areas in which you can drink. They are the rare occasions where you can actually (legally) drink a beer in a park or on the foreshore. Kids and young adults get together and go nuts because its an 'event' and you won't be able to do it next week. If the restrictions were relaxed all year then the novelty would wear off and the 'event' nature of it would wear off.
I'm not saying it wouldn't be a rocky road to start with because those same kids would go nuts in the early period but it would settle.

The people who start fights that Jono (I think) mentioned are part of the very visible minority, by their troublemaking nature, but let's face it, that's what they do. They were out last week picking fights, and they'll be at it again next week regardless of what restrictions are in place.

I just think that we bend to make rules for the minority that take advantage and cause trouble. This minority refuse to tow the line and sneak in booze and cause trouble despite the laws anyway while the rest of us (that actually abide by the overly stringent rules) could probably be given a bit more slack to play with without too much more disruption.

I was asked by Colin Richardson to put it on this site which I did... I also asked a friend to put it on "Facebook" which I had no idea how to do.. then we just hoped for word of mouth.. but I whole heartedly agree we do need a club song.. surely with all "our" contacts someone can come up with something short, sharp, and easy to join in with.. ??? Can't be rocket science the GAFL has one for every team..

And are they gonna provide some more variety in food outlets for the next season at NIB - there's only so many hot chips you can eat!! There used to be more food stalls around at the stadium.

I am unsure as to what will be available.

It seems that there is a closed shop in operation just like Spewbi and the WACA with a sprinkling of other outlets.

Like security and so many other aspects of the whole experience, I'm not sure it is within RWA control. You have to remember, it is not our stadium.

Correct RWA only hire the stadia, NIB managment and its preferred operators run the show so to speake.
That is my understanding of the arrangements.
