    PGH

The tight five get overlooked so much, but Joe has to be up there. I think he is 2nd top try scorer this year. Not bad for front rower. Such a professional on and off the field. Go Joe

Why isn't there a referee of the year as voted for by the clubs.

Gus and his "lovely" wife left Rocky after last season and ended up coaching Nedlands 2nds just prior to the start of the season. He did say he was heading back to NZ but something must have changed.

Could he be the 2014 head coach at Neddies? Perhaps not, given Neddies 2nds didn't make the finals for the first time in about 50,000 years (Christ they are almost as old as Cott!).

    My picks:

P.G. Hampshire - winner Someone from the Western Suburbs
Coach of the Year - Someone from the Western Suburbs

I don't think he was coaching the 2nd grade, I think he was just 1st Grade assistant. They had some bald headed fella coaching 2nds.

PG Hampshire is voted on by Refs through the season I believe (3, 2, 1's).

In other Aussie areas I have refereed they had a spot on the team sheet so the teams could rate the ref in 3 or 4 areas, the ref with the best score at the end of the year got a new pair of glasses or vouchers towards a new dog. Even if a teams marks you low, your ability as a ref will be clear over an entire season.

I agree club of the year should be there, and probably a few others.

Seems a bit light to only really have 2 awards.
