He should be okay as he played RL for Australian Schoolboys; can't see him being treated as a foreigner. I think the best thing for Australian Rugby if he does switch would be if he came here and played for us. Would give us an attendance boost each week at the very least.

Seeing as salary caps mean nothing and top-ups mean everything...

I think he would have been eligible for Origin if he hadn't played for NZ. Still, I agree with Exile about the age thing.

BM was selected for the U16 ABs however he chose to live and play RL in Aust. at age 15, declining his NZRU selection. So he's a 15yr Kiwi and 15yr Aust.

I think he'll go to the Blues if he decides to switch though.
