The rebels will not renew his current 2 year contract, that finishes at the end of this season, how will this affect his brand?... More news to follow!...

leaves only queensland and perth. theres no way nsw can afford him within the salary cap and qru would struggle to. Brumbies don't actually need him.

Never seemed to be a problem in the past. Our problem might stem from having such a ridiculous team song.

JOC dumped by the Rebels, want him back?

JOC's contract was not extended today at the Rebels. His stocks have plummeted for being a wannabe playboy pelican who's ego outstrips his ability, but enough of the good stuff about him.

Do we want him back? He'll naturally want to go to the Tahs or Reds. Brumbies won't be interested as they have a no dickheads policy, Tahs probably don't need him, neither do the Reds, question is, if we could get him for a song, would we forgive him and give him another chance?

    JOC homeless.

JOC dumped today. Rebels don't want him, nobody else really needs him. Do we take him back?

'Brand O'Connor' is worth about $60 these days, we could afford him. Question is, do you give him another chance?

I can't actually remember the team song. It's been such a long time since I've heard it. I wonder if the players remember how it goes?

NSW will fit him under the salary cap if they want him. Question is, have they seen enough to not want him.

We face the very real possibility of being the only bidder in the auction

You do. O'Connor is a player who can help make the difference between our 7 point or less losses and a win. He is a better goal kicker than anyone we have. The questions is where to play him.

I am not a big fan of either SNK or Ebersohn at 10. Zac Holmes could be good. I really think that Godwin moving to 10 and O'Connor at 12 could be a really good move. Godwin has a great long pass and all of the attributes of a great 10 (except the goal kicking). Sure he is a fantastic 12, but what if he was even better at 10.

The other option would be O'Connor at 15. If he plays for the Wallabies again, it will be as an outside back. That would definitely mean Zac Holmes to 10.

    Think of the potential:

    9. Alby Mathewson
    10. Zac Holmes
    11. Luke Morahan
    12. Kyle Godwin
    13. Junior Rasolea
    14. Nick Cummins (if he re-signs)
    15. O'Connor

That backline would be a lot more dangerous than the one we rolled out this season.

Puts us in the driving seat for negotiations then, either that or he goes overseas. IMHO we should get him back, would be a nice addition to our new back line and play him at 15.

I had to chuckle at the Fox common'taters last night saying he wasnt a 10, yet I recall in the dark days under Richard Graham of them screaming for him to be bought out of the wilderness of the wing and be injected at 10.

I really can't say I'm keen. The talent is undeniable, but does anyone think the Rebels can't see that? Yet they are letting him go - one has to wonder why. The very best face you could put on it is that they have decided to move on from just buying "talent" and cobbling together teams, instead looking to actually develop players. The worst - well....

To my mind the Force has a pretty fundamental question in front of it; are we having a re-launch or a relapse?

At present we really only have one strike weapon in Kyle Godwin.

How can we not make him an offer to come back?

Love him or hate him - the fact is he can score points. And one thing is certain - we need points scorers. Desperately.

The truth is we need him more than what he needs us.
