The reason they went from u/19 to u/20 came from ARU. ARU wanted to be inline with IRB. So the decision came from the top as usual.

The u/19 comp worked better here in WA. The gap between u/18 and u/20 is too big, therefore loosing players in this age group.

Was at the meeting when decision was made clubs said no rugbywa said yes. They should of gone back and said no this will not work but as uauall done nothing. The current mess is rugbywa not having any backbone the ARU do nothing for WA. And rugbywa let them get away with it

    - There is none

Also you said the max age is 21, so how can a 23 year old all of a sudden play 20's?

    - No one knows who is playing in this age group now - most people have no idea what the "agreement" is, it has become a free for all.

But you said in an earlier post that the max age now is u/21 (with the exception of not played Prem before). So what stopped an older player, playing in the u/20 comp at the beginning of the season, which won't stop him now all of a sudden?

Can only go by what I was told, it's supposedly an under 21's under 20's competition now (makes sense), with the added caveat of, if a player is over 20, and has not played Premier, they are welcome. What stopped this happening at the start of the season was that the Thracian Urn where this momentous agreement was chiselled upon, was not in existance until week 7 or 8 (so I'm told)..

It's listed as an under 20's comp - no matter what you write or scribble in the columns it says under 20's. Until someone (god forbid), gets a serious injury, then the proverbial will hit the fan, and we'll all run away saying we had no idea this was happening.

I'm sure everyone is bored with this thread by now, and Rugby WA will gauge the response to it. When you give your power to bureaucrats you get what you deserve.

for god's sake you idiots the Under 20 comp is part of the senior comp !! anyone who has turned 18 can play in any senior team .

bottom line is once your 18 you can play senior rugby in any team so stop with this legal crap going on.

no play under the age of 18 is playing in this comp without signed off dispensation by a level 2 coach and his parents

if rugbywa have allowed players to play in it that are older than the under 20 cut off so be it let's get on with life , would have liked to know about it ( but let's move on ) there were two to three teams ( bottom 3) on the brink of folding and if this helps them through the season so be it .

as for soaks getting dispensation i would find that very hard to swallow

i agree however with the comment go back to 19's . 18's is a strong comp with plenty of teams 20's are dying
